Terms of Service
The rules that apply when you use MoveDone and the protections that remain available under Australian law.
Last reviewed 14 August 20261. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of MoveDone, including our moving planner, account features, checklists and, when available, marketplace and referral features. By creating an account or using MoveDone you agree to these terms.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
2. Who may use MoveDone
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or enter into a booking, payment or service-provider arrangement through MoveDone. You must provide information that is accurate enough for MoveDone to provide the requested service.
3. Moving plans and information
MoveDone provides organisational tools and general information. Moving checklists, timing suggestions, price guidance and reminders are general guidance and may not account for every lease condition, property requirement, provider lead time or personal circumstance.
You remain responsible for checking important contractual, legal, utility, property-management and provider requirements that apply to your move.
4. Third-party service providers
Where MoveDone introduces you to a removalist, cleaner, pest controller, storage provider, utility provider or other third party, that provider is responsible for its own services, licences, insurance, quotes, representations, availability and performance unless MoveDone expressly states otherwise.
We may rank, recommend or display providers using factors such as location, availability, service category, user preferences, quality signals or commercial arrangements. Where a placement is sponsored or commercially prioritised, we will identify that where required so users are not misled.
5. Quotes, bookings and payments
Quoted prices may change where the scope of work changes or a provider identifies information that was not available when the quote was produced. Any binding price, cancellation terms, deposit or booking conditions should be clearly disclosed before the customer commits.
If MoveDone later takes payments, applicable fees, recurring charges and cancellation arrangements will be disclosed before payment. We will not use these terms to remove rights that cannot be excluded under Australian consumer law.
6. Your responsibilities
- Do not misuse MoveDone, interfere with its security or attempt unauthorised access.
- Do not submit false, fraudulent, unlawful, abusive or misleading information.
- Keep your account credentials confidential and tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
- When communicating with providers, deal honestly and respectfully.
7. Accounts and suspension
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, MoveDone, the integrity of the service or to meet legal obligations. We will act reasonably in exercising this right.
8. Intellectual property
MoveDone's branding, software, interface, original copy, icons and other original materials are owned by or licensed to MoveDone. These terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to users.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the MoveDone Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and liability
We aim to keep MoveDone reliable and secure but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability that can lawfully be limited will be limited to the extent reasonable in the circumstances. Nothing in this clause limits rights or liabilities that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as MoveDone adds features or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable way and the current version will remain available on this page.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia, subject to any mandatory law that applies elsewhere. Questions can be sent to hello@movedone.com.au.
