Transparency

Compliance Centre

A transparent view of the legal and operational controls MoveDone is building for an Australian launch.

Compliance is a program, not a footer badge

MoveDone does not claim that publishing policies proves compliance with every Australian law. Obligations depend on what features are live, how MoveDone earns revenue, the jurisdictions involved, business turnover, the providers we work with and how data is handled. This page describes the compliance controls we are building and the frameworks we actively monitor.

Controls in place

Privacy & account security

Privacy policy, hashed passwords, secure random sessions, plan-ownership checks, access/correction pathway and data-breach response principles.

Policy baseline

Australian Consumer Law

Terms preserve non-excludable consumer rights, require transparent commercial representations and distinguish MoveDone from third-party service providers.

Before marketing launch

Spam Act & direct marketing

Commercial email/SMS will require appropriate consent, sender identification and a compliant unsubscribe facility before marketing automation is enabled.

Published process

Complaints & online safety

Terms, complaint pathways and escalation information are published. Online-safety obligations will be reassessed before reviews, messaging or other user-generated content features launch.

Required before public launch

HTTPS / TLS

The current development IP is HTTP. The production domain must be configured with HTTPS/TLS before public account use so credentials, session data and move information are encrypted in transit.

Ongoing

Provider governance

Before paid leads or bookings launch, MoveDone should implement provider terms, ABN/business verification where appropriate, category-specific licence/insurance checks and clear sponsored-placement disclosures.

Frameworks monitored

  • Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles — where applicable, including transparent privacy management and data-breach obligations.
  • Australian Consumer Law — including truthful representations, consumer guarantees where applicable and unfair contract term rules.
  • Spam Act 2003 — for commercial email/SMS consent, identification and unsubscribe requirements.
  • Online Safety Act 2021 and applicable industry codes/standards — as relevant to interactive platform features and complaint/reporting mechanisms.
Launch gate

Before MoveDone accepts public accounts, payments, paid business leads or live marketplace bookings, obtain an Australian legal review of the final terms, privacy practices, provider model and payment flow. Policies should then be updated to match the production system exactly.
